Selangor FC has updated the latest status of Faisal Halim, a midfielder of the club, has left back home already after three weeks of recovery from an acid incident.
This development was announced by the SFC following media reports that Faisal, or more affectionately known as Mickey, underwent four operations while in a private hospital, here, after falling victim to acid waste, last May 5.
“The club is pleased to announce that Faisal Halim has been discharged from the hospital after undergoing four surgeries to treat his fourth-degree acid burn injuries suffered in a recent attack.” Selangor FC said in official statement.
“Based on the observations of the attending specialist doctors, Faisal Halim’s recovery from these serious injuries is truly remarkable and surpasses the expectations of all parties.”
“The club would like to express our utmost gratitude to Dr. Wan Syazli Rodzaian bin Wan Ahmad Kamal, Specialist in Plastic & Reconstructive Unit, all staff of Avisena Specialist Hospital and Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara who have been committed in providing comprehensive care and made significant contributions to Faisal Halim’s recovery.”
“We also extend our highest appreciation to the Selangor FC family, state and national leaders, government and private agencies, local and international football communities, and all Malaysians who have provided moral support and prayed for the well-being of our beloved national football icon.”
“Faisal Halim is now entering the next phase of his recovery process. The club and Faisal Halin’s family kindly request that all parties to give him space and privacy to undergo this recovery process.”
