Football Federation of Cambodia (FFC) has officially announced the termination of Félix Dalmas as the head coach of the Cambodia national team following their elimination from the AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers play-off stage.
Cambodia’s campaign ended after a heartbreaking penalty shoot-out loss to Sri Lanka, with the aggregate score tied at 2-2 over two matches.
This marks Dalmas’ second tenure as the head coach of Cambodia, having held the position from April 2023 to September 2024.
Despite his efforts, the team’s elimination has brought an end to their dream of reaching the final round of the AFC Asian Cup.
In an official statement, the FFC expressed their decision: “The Executive Committee of the Football Federation of Cambodia has decided to terminate the contract of the coach of the Cambodian national football team, Mr. Felix G. Dalmas from now on. We wish Félix Dalmás every success in his future endeavors.“
