Thailand almost took an early lead in the 10th minute. Phuriphan Phothong delivered a precise cross for Chaiwat Ngernma, whose header was impressively saved by the Australian goalkeeper.
Both teams exchanged opportunities throughout the first half, but accuracy in the final third was lacking. The first 45 minutes ended with the score tied at 0-0.
Thailand made their first substitution at the start of the second half, with Naphat Ai-joi replacing Pramet La-ongdee to inject fresh energy into the attack.
In the 58th minute, Thailand faced a critical moment when they conceded a penalty due to a handball. However, goalkeeper Supakorn Poolphon stepped up, saving Jordan Graoroski’s penalty to keep the score level.
Towards the end of the match, Thailand’s captain, Danupon Bubpha, received a second yellow card, resulting in a red card and leaving Thailand with ten players. Despite this setback, the team managed to hold on and prevent Australia from scoring.
Both teams pushed for a late winner, but the match ended 0-0, earning each side a point.
