Rising Malaysian motorcycle racer Hakim Danish Ramli is determined to return to the points at this weekend’s FIM Moto3 World Championship round at the Automotodrom Brno, following a frustrating end to his previous outing in Hungary.
The AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSi rider saw his hopes of scoring at the Hungarian Grand Prix dashed after being taken out by another competitor in a rear-end collision, forcing him into an early retirement despite showing promising pace throughout the weekend.
Now, the young Malaysian has shifted his full focus to the Czech Grand Prix, scheduled for 19-21 June, viewing the iconic Brno circuit as the perfect opportunity to bounce back and strengthen his championship campaign.
Despite the disappointment in Balaton Park, Hakim believes valuable lessons were learned from the incident and the overall race weekend, with both rider and team working extensively to improve their package ahead of the next challenge.
Brno presents a completely different test, renowned for its fast-flowing layout, technical corners, and elevation changes that demand precision and consistency from every rider. With the circuit being new to him, Hakim is placing great importance on maximizing every free practice session to quickly understand the track and fine-tune his machine before qualifying and Sunday’s race.
Currently sitting on 48 championship points, the Malaysian youngster is aiming to add another strong points haul to improve his overall standing in what has been an encouraging campaign.
Hakim Danish: “Brno Is a Great Opportunity to Bounce Back”
Hakim expressed confidence ahead of his maiden appearance at the legendary Czech venue, highlighting the intensive preparations carried out in Spain since the Hungary round.
“My preparations for Brno have gone very well. I’ve continued my normal training programme in Spain, and I’m really excited to race at Brno for the first time in my career.
“After Balaton, we identified several areas that needed improvement. Together with my team, we’ve worked very hard to improve our performance, and I hope we can apply everything we’ve learned this weekend.
“My focus is to work from FP1 onwards and build confidence step by step in every session. Brno is a completely new circuit for me, so one of my priorities is to understand the track characteristics as quickly as possible and find a good rhythm.
“From what I’ve seen, Brno looks like a very exciting and challenging circuit. I honestly can’t wait to get out on track and experience racing there.
“I’ll give my very best in every session and fight for the strongest result possible this weekend. I’d also like to thank my team, sponsors, and all the fans who continue to support me.”
Eyes Back on the Championship
Following the unfortunate incident in Hungary, Brno offers Hakim Danish an immediate chance to reset his campaign and demonstrate the pace that has made him one of Malaysia’s brightest young prospects in international motorcycle racing.
A clean weekend combined with steady progress throughout practice and qualifying could provide the platform for another valuable points finish as the championship battle continues. With confidence high inside the AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSi camp, Hakim will be hoping Brno marks the beginning of another positive chapter in his promising 2026 season.
