3 players were confirmed positive for COVID-19 after undergoing rapid antigen testing (ART) at a hotel accommodation in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on morning yesterday (19/2/2022).
The 3 players are Abdul Hanafie Tokyo, Zainal Abidin Jamil and Saravanan Tirumurugan.
In addition, assistant coach Khan Hung Meng has also tested positive for COVID-19.
The 3 players and the assistant coach were immediately separated from the activities with the team and will undergo PCR testing, tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, two players who had previously tested positive for COVID-19 during PCR testing upon arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport, Fahmi Daniel Zaaim and Shafi Azswad Sapari, are expected to be free from their respective isolation periods, today or tomorrow, subject to PCR test results. their latest before being allowed to re-join training with the team.
