Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has confirmed that FIFA has officially cleared two Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) players — Bergson da Silva and Brad Tapp — to represent the Malaysian national team.

The confirmation follows a thorough review by FIFA into both players' eligibility status, conducted in line with the governing body's established rules and regulations.

While the door has opened for da Silva and Tapp, the eligibility status of two more JDT players — Manuel Hidalgo and Shane Lowry — remains under review. FAM says it is still waiting on an official decision from FIFA regarding the pair, with the process ongoing.

FAM has reiterated its commitment to fully cooperating with FIFA throughout the review, pledging to provide any additional information and documentation required to help move the process along.

The association added that it will provide further updates on Hidalgo and Lowry's status as soon as official confirmation is received from FIFA.
