Men’s Single

Thailand’s single, Kantaphon WANGCHAROEN, defeated China’s LI Shi Feng at a lengthy three-set match, with the score of 21-18, 20-22 and 21-16. WANGCHAOREN advanced into Round 16; meanwhile, Thailand’s Sitthikom THAMMASIN also defeated China’s LU Guang Zu, 21-11, 11-21, 21-17.

Kunlavut VITIDSARN will be playing against Indonesia and World Ranking No.6, Anthony Sinisuka GINTING [6], tomorrow.

Malaysia’s Lee Zii Jia [5], Liew Darren; Japan’s Kento MOMOTA [2]; Denmark’s Anders ANTONSEN [3], will all play tomorrow.

Men’s Double

Malaysia’s doubles, MAN Wei Chong/Kai Wun TEE lost against Indonesia’s also World Ranking No.1 duo, Marcus Fernaldi GIDEON/Kevin Sanjaya SUKAMULJO [1], in straight sets, 23-21, 21-19. Another Malaysia pair, GOH Sze Fei/Nur IZZUDDIN, also lost against Indonesia’s pair, Muhammad Shohibul FIKRI/INABagas MAULANA, in three-sets game, 21-17, 18-21, and 21-19.

Malaysia’s pair, GOH V Shem/LIM Khim Wah, will face Thailand’s pair Supak JOMKOH/Kittinupong KEDREN tomorrow.

The “Daddies”, Mohammad AHSAN/Hendra SETIAWAN [3] who recently joined the World Championship, will play against Korea’s KANG Min Hyuk/SEO Seung Jae, meanwhile, Malaysia ONG Yew Sin/TEO Ee Yi [8] will play against Netherland’s Ruben JILLE/Ties VAN DER LECQ, tomorrow.

Women’s Single

Thailand’s single, P CHOCHUWONG defeated Hong Kong’s CHENG N Y, in straight sets, 21-16, 21-5. P CHOCHUWONG will then meet China’s WANG Zhi Yi, tomorrow. P CHOCHUWONG.

Must-catch action: Thailand’s Busanan ONGBAMRUNGPHAN against Ratchanok INTANON [8], 2.20 p.m., tomorrow. These two last met at the PERODUA Malaysia Masters 2022, which INTANON won against ONGBAMRUNGPHAN in straight sets, 21-12, 21-13.

Thailand’s Supanida KATETHONG faces Singapore’s YEO Jia Min tomorrow at 09.00 a.m., then, Thailand’s Phittayaporn CHAIWAN, will be playing against Korea’s KIM Ga Eun, tomorrow.

Women’s Double

Malaysia’s Badminton Duo TAN Pearly/THINAAH M will face Korea’s BAEK Ha Na/LEE Yu Rim tomorrow at the Round-16. They both met in the Daihatsu Indonesia Masters 2022 which TAN/THINAAH defeated BAEK/LEE, in a straight three-sets game, 21-23, 21-17, 21-15.

On the other hand, another Malaysia pair, Vivian HOO/LIM C S, fought Germany’s pair, Linda EFLER/Isabel LOHAU with straight sets, 21-17, 23-21, and advanced into Round-16. Both will face either China’s CHEN Q C/JIA Yi Fan or Hong Kong’s YEUNG N T/YEUNG P L.

Thailand’s pair will all play tomorrow.

Mixed’s Double

Thailand’s mixed, Supak JOMKOH/Supissara PAEWSAMPRAN, defeated Denmark’s Mikkel MIKKELSEN/Rikke SØBY in three-sets game, 21-16, 22-24, 21-7.

Malaysia’s mixed, CHEN Tang Jie/PECK Yen Wei lost against another Malaysia’s mixed, HOO Pang Ron/TOH Ee Wei, in a three-sets game, 21-23, 22-24, 17-21. HOO/TOH advanced into Round 16, in which they will face Netherland’s Robin TABELING/Selena PIEK.

GOH Soon Huat/LAI Shevon Jemie, from Malaysia, defeated Indonesia’s mixed, Rehan Naufal KUSHARJANTO/Lisa Ayu KUSUMAWATI, with the score of 20-22, 21-19, 21-12. GOH/LAI advanced into Round 16, in which they will either face Japan’s mixed or Egypt’s mixed.

Catch tomorrow: Malaysia’s CHAN Peng Soon/CHEAH Yee See will play against their own country’s mixed double, TAN Kian Meng/LAI Pei Jing [7]; meanwhile, Thailand’s Dechapol PUAVARANUKROH/Sapsiree TAERATTANACHAI [2], will battle against KIM Won Ho/JEONG Na Eun [PFR]
