Two of Selangor FC’s standout foreign stars, Mohamad Abualnadi and Noor Al-Rawabdeh, have officially secured their places in Jordan’s final 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, marking a proud moment for both the players and the Malaysian football community.
Jordan head coach Jamal Sellami unveiled his final roster ahead of the nation’s historic maiden appearance at football’s biggest tournament, with Abualnadi and Al-Rawabdeh among the selected players entrusted to carry the hopes of the Jordanian nation.
The announcement comes as Jordan’s delegation arrived in San Diego, United States, on Tuesday to begin the final phase of preparations before the World Cup kicks off across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
For Selangor supporters, the inclusion of Abualnadi and Al-Rawabdeh represents a significant achievement. Both players have become influential figures for the Malaysian Super League giants and will now have the opportunity to showcase their talents on the world stage.
Defender Abualnadi has established himself as one of Jordan’s most dependable defensive options, while midfielder Al-Rawabdeh continues to be a key creative and energetic presence in the middle of the park.
Their selection further underlines the quality of talent currently competing in Malaysian football and highlights Selangor FC’s growing reputation as a club capable of nurturing and attracting international-calibre players.
In addition, two ex-Selangor FC players, Yazan Al Arab, Ali Olwan, and ex-Kedah Darul Aman player Mahmoud Al Mardi have name on the final squad also.
