Midfield anchor Kenneth Dougall believes Buriram United have both the experience and mentality to overcome Johor Darul Ta’zim in their Shopee Cup 2025/26 semi-final first-leg encounter.
Drawing confidence from past meetings, Dougall highlighted Buriram’s competitive edge against the Malaysian champions.
“We’ve faced JDT several times over the past two seasons and managed to win twice. That gives us belief going into this match,” he said.
The Australian midfielder stressed that matches of this magnitude demand composure, hunger, and a clear objective — victory.
“This is a very important competition. Our goal is to win and progress to the final. We want to deliver our best performance.”
Dougall also pointed to the team’s winning culture as a driving force, especially after lifting silverware last season.
“We enjoy winning, and we want to experience that again. Games like this bring out the best in players.”
