Malaysia Futsal National Team losing to Indonesia National Team scoring 0-6 in the International Friendly ‘A’ Match Futsal at GOR Amongrogo, Yogyakarta.
The game saw Indonesia dominate from the start, with Firman Ardiansyah opening the scoring in just the fourth minute, netting from a difficult angle past Malaysian goalkeeper Syawal Sabaruddin.
Indonesia quickly doubled their lead two minutes later through Ardiansyah Runtuboy. By the ninth minute, Holypaul Septinus ‘Evan’ Soumilena unleashed a powerful long-range shot, extending the lead to 3-0. Evan added his second goal in the 20th minute before completing his hat-trick in the 32nd minute. A minute later, Samuel Amos Ronsumbre sealed the 6-0 victory for Indonesia.
Despite creating several opportunities, Malaysia, under the guidance of head coach Rakphol Sainetngam, was unable to break through as Indonesian goalkeepers Muhammad Al-Bagir and Ahmad Habiebie kept their clean sheet intact.
Looking ahead, Malaysia will travel to Thailand on October 23 for friendly matches against Australia and Myanmar before competing in the 2024 AFF Futsal Championship, set to begin on November 2 in Nakhon Ratchasima.
