Malaysia’s men’s doubles pair Aaron Tai–Kang Khai Xing delivered a commanding performance to defeat their compatriots Chia Wei Jie–Lwi Sheng Hao and clinch the Syed Modi India International title today in Lucknow.
The world No. 57 pair needed just 32 minutes to secure a confident 21–9, 21–19 victory — earning their first-ever Super 300 crown in style.
Aaron–Khai Xing came out firing, showcasing high-tempo play and aggressive finishing that left Wei Jie–Sheng Hao struggling to keep pace.
They wrapped up the opening game 21–9 in only 11 minutes, stamping their authority early.
The second game saw the sixth seeds continue dictating the tempo, but Wei Jie–Sheng Hao mounted a stronger challenge this time.
Despite the fightback, Aaron–Khai Xing regained control late in the game, tightening their structure and sealing the championship with a composed 21–19 finish.
This triumph also marks their second consecutive win over the same opponents — having defeated them in last month’s Malaysia Super 100 final.
