Johor Darul Ta’zim have reinforced their status as a leading football brand in Southeast Asia after announcing a four-year extension with global sportswear giant Nike, securing the partnership until 2029.
The agreement, signed today at the JDT Headquarters, marks the continuation of a decade-long collaboration that has played a major role in shaping JDT’s modern identity both on and off the pitch.
JDT Chief Executive Officer Luis Garcia and Chief Operating Officer & Technical Director Alistair Edwards were present at the ceremony, accompanied by senior representatives from Nike.
In expressing his satisfaction over the renewed partnership, Garcia said the deal reflects the shared vision between the Southern Tigers and the world-renowned sports brand.
“We’re delighted to have extended our partnership with Nike, who have been an excellent long-term partner of JDT over the past decade,” Garcia stated.
“This extension strengthens our ambition to continue building JDT as a global football club with world-class standards.”
Since first joining forces more than ten years ago, Nike has played a pivotal role in JDT’s branding evolution — from kit innovation to performance-specific apparel designed to elevate the club’s competitive edge in both domestic and continental competitions.
The renewed deal is expected to bring further enhancements to merchandise offerings, fan engagement projects, and technological advancements in kit development, solidifying JDT’s commitment to maintaining international-level professionalism.
