Malaysia’s fresh pairing Hoo Pang Ron / Cheng Su Yin wasted no time stamping their authority. Dominating from the opening rally, the duo overwhelmed the Philippines’ pair with superior rotation and precision. Their straight-game victory marks a confident entry into the quarterfinals.
Women’s Singles (WS) : Wong Ling Ching (MAS) win Insyirah Khan (SGP) 2-0 (21–16, 21–15)
