Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) Disciplinary Committee has officially lifted the suspension of Datuk Noor Azman Hj. Rahman, clearing the way for him to resume his duties as FAM Secretary-General with immediate effect.
The decision was reached during a Disciplinary Committee meeting held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
Previously, the FAM Executive Committee on December 22, 2025 had deliberated on the findings of the Independent Investigation Committee (IIC) and resolved to extend Datuk Noor Azman’s suspension — which had been in place since October 17, 2025 — by referring the matter to the FAM Disciplinary Committee for further action.
Following a thorough review, the Disciplinary Committee, chaired by Datuk Dr. Baljit Singh Sidhu, took into account both the duration of the suspension already served and the IIC report dated December 15, 2025. The committee subsequently ruled that Datuk Noor Azman should be reinstated to his position with immediate effect.
Importantly, the latest ruling clarifies that Datuk Noor Azman was only linked to administrative negligence and was neither guilty of nor involved in any document falsification.
The decision is expected to provide a measure of stability within FAM’s administrative structure at a time when governance and credibility remain under close scrutiny, as the national body continues efforts to restore confidence among stakeholders and the wider football community.
