Negeri Sembilan FC has officially launched a historic mission to the Land of the Rising Sun, sending a high-powered delegation to J3 League side Gainare Tottori.
Leading the charge is none other than national legend and U-20 Head Coach Norhafiz Zamani Misbah, who is joined by three of the club’s brightest prospects for a month-long “life-changing” trial and coaching attachment!
The spotlight falls on a trio of youngsters who have been handpicked to prove that Negeri Sembilan’s talent can cut it in the hyper-disciplined Japanese ecosystem: Airiel Zafran Mohd Azrul (20), Aqil Faris Shalahudin (19), Adam Haris Hamizon (21).
The stakes are high—these boys will start with the Academy, but if they “wow” the scouts, they’ll be promoted to train with the Gainare Tottori first team. Even bigger? A permanent J-League contract is on the table if they hit the gold standard!
It’s not just the players who are leveling up. NSFC legend Norhafiz Zamani will be embedded within the Japanese first-team coaching structure. His mission: To deconstruct the tactical DNA and high-intensity methodologies that make Japanese football a global powerhouse and bring that “Samurai Spirit” back to Seremban.
NSFC Chairman Dato’ Seri Utama Aminuddin bin Harun emphasized that this isn’t a one-off PR stunt, but a tactical strike to prepare for the upcoming SUKMA Games and build a long-term Super League pipeline.
“We cannot rely on short-term success,” the Chairman insisted. “Our relationship with Gainare Tottori opens a valuable window into an ecosystem famous for discipline and intensity. We want our boys to bring back a new standard of football.”
By making this an annual initiative, NSFC is signaling a massive shift in their philosophy. They aren’t just looking for local wins; they are building international-standard athletes. If even one of these boys secures a spot in Japan, it changes the game for Negeri Sembilan forever.
