Malaysia’s leading superbike star Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah credited the relentless dedication of JDT Racing Team after extending his remarkable winning streak to six races in a row with another commanding performance in Race 2 of the 2026 FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) Round 3 at Mobility Resort Motegi.
The former MotoGP rider continued his dominant run in the Asian Superbike 1000cc (ASB1000) category, strengthening his position at the top of the championship standings while cementing his status as the rider to beat this season.
Speaking after securing yet another victory, Hafizh described the achievement as the result of collective sacrifice and hard work behind the scenes rather than individual brilliance alone.
“Alhamdulillah, we managed to deliver a perfect weekend. Six wins in a row. From the outside it may look easy, but behind the scenes there is a lot of sacrifice, hard training and effort from everyone in the team,” said Hafizh.
While the statistics paint a picture of dominance, Hafizh stressed that the journey has not been without challenges.
According to the JDT Racing Team rider, the squad has endured difficult moments throughout the campaign, making the current streak even more meaningful.
“Even though the results have been great, we have also faced our ups and downs along the way. That’s why achieving six consecutive wins feels very special.”
The Motegi triumph completed another flawless weekend for Hafizh and JDT Racing Team, who once again demonstrated their pace, consistency and race management against a highly competitive ASB1000 field.
Hafizh was quick to dedicate the result to the people working tirelessly behind the scenes, acknowledging the engineers, mechanics, management and sponsors who have played crucial roles in the team’s success.
“I want to thank the whole team because without them, I wouldn’t be standing here. This result belongs to all of us.”
The Malaysian rider also extended special appreciation to the team’s sponsors and supporters, including Duli Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Mahkota Ismail, whose backing has been instrumental in JDT Racing Team’s rapid rise in regional motorcycle racing.
“Thank you as well to all our sponsors for their support and especially to Duli Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Mahkota Ismail for giving us this opportunity and believing in us to do our best.”
Despite celebrating another milestone victory, Hafizh is already focused on the next challenge as the championship heads towards Mandalika, Indonesia.
The 31-year-old rider emphasised that continued development remains a key objective, both for himself and his teammates, as JDT Racing Team aims to maintain its momentum through the remainder of the season.
“Now we look forward to Mandalika, where I hope to continue helping my teammate improve and become even stronger together.”
With six consecutive victories from six races, Hafizh has established himself as the benchmark rider in the 2026 ASB1000 championship. His blend of experience, consistency and racecraft has allowed JDT Racing Team to dominate the opening half of the campaign.
As the paddock prepares for the next round in Mandalika, rivals face an increasingly difficult task of stopping a rider who is not only winning races but also operating with supreme confidence and the full backing of a team firing on all cylinders.
For now, Motegi belongs to Hafizh Syahrin and JDT Racing Team—a partnership that continues to rewrite the story of Malaysian motorcycle racing on the Asian stage.
