E. Elavarasan, head coach of Malaysia U23 national team revealed two matches won in the group stage have made enthusiastic for the team look forward to match against Vietnam U23 national team in the semi-final of the AFF U23 Championship 2023 tomorrow.
“We have qualified for the semi-finals after a long time, and the players are showing positive progress after coming in two matches here,” Elavarasan, said.
“These two wins have made our players more enthusiastic, and we are looking forward to action against Vietnam, who are also the defending champions compared to last edition.”
“We know Vietnam is a good team in the ASEAN region but we don’t see them based on specific players because we need to see them as one team.
“All of their players are good and always give their best performance in every match they participate in,”
“We lost concentration against Timor-Leste so we scored a goal and they also played well to challenge us.”
“Players need to be fully prepared for tomorrow’s action (this afternoon) and we expect an interesting match to be put up by both teams,”
Malaysia U23 national team will face Vietnam U23 national team in semi-final of the AFF U23 Championship 2023 in 24 August 2023 on 5 pm.(Malaysian time) at Rayong Provincial Stadium.
