“We can’t control anything beyond what happens on the pitch,” said Cklamovski during a press briefing on Monday.
“What we can control is how we make Malaysians proud through our football. The noise, the speculation — all of that must be filtered out because it disrespects the game itself.”
“It’s not a problem for us. I’m focused on what we can control — our preparation, our performance, and ensuring we execute everything properly. My goal is for Malaysia to be proud of the way we play and for us to end 2025 unbeaten, scoring goals and keeping clean sheets,” he added.
Despite the setback, Cklamovski expressed full confidence in the professionalism and mental strength of his current squad, emphasizing their unity and focus amid external distractions.
“I’m inspired by this group of players every single day. They bring me joy as a coach — their mentality, their discipline, their focus, and their professionalism make me proud,” said the Australian tactician.
“We must keep doing it every day. We can’t take anything lightly. We have to continue building our football identity and face every opponent with the same hunger and intensity.”
