Nakhonpathom United, newbie team in the Thai League 1, has appointed Akbar Navas, Singaporean head coach. to be the new head coach of the team in the season 2023/24
Akbar will be replacing Thongchai Sukkoki, former head coach of the club after he move to BG Pathum United at the end of the last season.
Akbar has managed Tampines Rovers, and Balestier Khalsa in Singapore Premier League and several clubs in Asia namely Global Cebu in the Philippines Football League, and Chennai City in I-League India in the season 2018/19 before moving to manage a team in Thailand with Udonthani FC in the Thai League 2 as the first team in the 2022/2023 season.
