Unionistas de Salamanca CF has confirmed that it has received official notification regarding sanctions imposed by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee on the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and seven players, including Unionistas forward Gabriel Palmero.
The sanctions, related to breaches of Article 22 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code concerning forgery and falsification, follow FIFA’s ruling against FAM and the players earlier this week.
In a statement released today, Unionistas de Salamanca CF said the club is currently gathering all necessary information surrounding the case to determine its next course of action.
“We are assessing the situation carefully. In the meantime, the player will remain excluded from all club sporting activities until further official communication is received,” the club announced.
The development marks a significant setback for Arrocha, who joined Unionistas with strong expectations for the current campaign. The club emphasized that it will act in accordance with FIFA’s directives while safeguarding its sporting integrity.
