Selangor FC were forced to settle for a 1–1 draw against Filipino side Dynamic Herb Cebu in their third Shopee Cup 2025/26 Group Stage, Group A at Rizal Memorial Stadium, Manila.
Head coach Katsuhito Kinoshi fielded Kalamullah Al-Hafiz between the posts, with Mukhairi Ajmal wearing the captain’s armband and Brazilian hotshot Willian Lira leading the frontline.
DH Cebu, meanwhile, relied on goalkeeper Rami Jeridi and attacking spark Rico Andes as their main weapons.
Backed by a lively home crowd, DH Cebu came out aggressively, launching several dangerous raids at Selangor’s defence.
However, their finishing let them down as Kalamullah marshalled the backline confidently.
Selangor responded with pressure of their own through fluid attacking movements orchestrated by Lira, causing anxious moments in the Cebu penalty area.
By the 30th minute, both teams had produced energetic, end-to-end football — but neither found the breakthrough.
Just before halftime, Kalamullah pulled off a crucial save to deny DH Cebu a point-blank effort, ensuring the Red Giants entered the break level at 0–0.
The second half exploded into life.

Star forward Abou Sy took advantage of a defensive lapse to slot home the opener, sending the home fans into a frenzy.
But Selangor hit back almost immediately.

Willian Lira, ever-reliable and ever-dangerous, produced a composed finish to restore parity and calm the nerves in the Red Giants camp.
The match remained intense as both sides chased the winner.
Selangor suffered a setback in the 71st minute when winger Omid Musawi was forced off with an injury, replaced by rising talent Harry Danish.
Great chances fell to both teams, but the score stayed tied entering the final stretch.
Selangor nearly stole the win in the 83rd minute when Picha Autra unleashed a thunderous strike — only for the ball to cannon off the top of the crossbar.
The match ended 1–1, a result that keeps Selangor in the hunt but leaves plenty of work to be done as the Shopee Cup group stage tightens.
