Johor Darul Ta’Zim (JDT) continued to cement their legacy in Malaysian football after sweeping top honours at the 31st Johor Sports Awards today.
The Southern Tigers were crowned Best Men’s Team, while midfield maestro Afiq Fazail received the prestigious Johor Sportsman of the Year Award in recognition of his influential role during JDT’s remarkable 2024/25 Malaysia League season. In addition, the iconic Sultan Ibrahim Stadium was named Best Facility, underlining its status as one of Southeast Asia’s premier football venues.
JDT’s Chief Operating Officer and Technical Director, Alistair Edwards, accepted the accolades on behalf of the club at the official ceremony.
The awards serve as further testament to JDT’s dominance both on and off the pitch, where success is matched by innovation, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Afiq Fazail’s recognition as Johor Sportsman underscores his importance as a leader in midfield and a symbol of consistency for both club and country. Meanwhile, the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium continues to shine as a benchmark of sporting infrastructure in the region, hosting domestic and continental matches at the highest level.
