Malaysia U17 national team shocked to the fans after tied with Guam U17 national team with a score of 1-1 on the AFC U17 Asian Cup 2023 Qualifiers Group B at Pakansari Stadium, Bogor.

The Malaysian U-16 national team actually dominated the game from the start of the first round. Because, the defense of Guam was locked down by Malaysia. Guam slowly began to press out. However, the team’s attack was not dangerous.

AFC U17 Q: Malaysia Still ‘Perfect’

Malaysia and Guam played pretty tight until the middle of the first half. The reason, both teams are still struggling to score goals. In the 41st minute, Guam almost took the lead over Malaysia. However, Samuel’s shot still bounced over the Malaysian goal.

Until the end of the first half no goals were created. The position between the two teams is still 0-0. The tempo of the game at the beginning of the second half was quite high. Because, both teams played quite insistently in the match. Malaysia looks quite frustrated to dismantle Guam’s defense. Because, various attacks have not succeeded in producing goals.

In an effort to score goals, Malaysia instead lost one player due to a red card. This condition certainly did not benefit Malaysia. In the 68th minute, Malaysia managed to score a goal through Anjasmirza. However, the goal was disallowed because the player was caught in an offside position.

In the 75th minute, Malaysia finally managed to take the lead over Guam. Dzakirin scored the goal. But not long ago, Guam actually scored a reply through Meyar. The goal was created in the 82nd minute through a kick from outside the penalty box. Until the end of the second half the score did not change. Malaysia and Guam tied 1-1.
