Malaysian Football League (MFL) First Instance Body (FIB) has officially concluded its review of clubs previously granted National Club Licences with sanctions, confirming that three clubs have successfully fulfilled the required licensing criteria while PDRM FC has withdrawn from the Liga Super Malaysia 2026/27.
The Malaysian Football League received an official letter from the club informing the league of its decision to withdraw from the Liga Super Malaysia 2026/27.
The FIB acknowledged the club’s decision, confirming that PDRM FC will no longer participate in the upcoming Liga Super Malaysia 2026/27 season.
The withdrawal reduces the list of participating clubs and is expected to have implications for the final composition of the 2026/27 league schedule.
According to the FIB, every licensing decision was made following a comprehensive evaluation of all financial, legal and infrastructure documentation submitted by each club.
The assessments were conducted strictly in accordance with the MFL Club Licensing Regulations (2025-2026 Cycle), ensuring compliance with professional football standards before the new season begins.
On 26 May 2026, the FIB awarded National Club Licences with sanctions to four clubs under Article 8.2 of the MFL Club Licensing Regulations: Melaka FC, Star City FC (formerly known as Imigresen FC), Kuala Lumpur City FC, and PDRM FC
All four clubs were instructed to submit additional financial and infrastructure documentation by 15 July 2026 to satisfy the Financial and Infrastructure Criteria required under the MFL Club Licensing Regulations.
Following a comprehensive assessment, the FIB confirmed that Melaka FC, Star City FC, and Kuala Lumpur City FC have successfully met all outstanding requirements and completed the licensing process.
While Melaka FC, Star City FC and Kuala Lumpur City FC have now secured their places after satisfying the licensing requirements.
