Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) have confirmed an ambitious pre-season programme in Alicante, Spain, featuring nine matches across 16 days as the Southern Tigers step up preparations for the 2026/27 season.
The Malaysian giants will begin their pre-season fixtures on 16 July with a high-profile clash against Scottish side Rangers FC, providing JDT with an immediate test against strong European opposition.
Three days later, JDT will face Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq on 19 July, before taking on Spanish side CD Contestano(7th-tier Spanish club) on 20 July.
The intensity will continue with a meeting against La Liga club Elche CF on 24 July, followed by another Spanish test against UD Castellonense, a Spanish 3rd-tier side, on 25 July.
JDT will then face Costa City on 27 July and a team representing the Asociación de Futbolistas Españoles (AFE) on 28 July.
The Southern Tigers’ demanding schedule will conclude with back-to-back fixtures against Qatar SC on 30 July and FC Cartagena on 31 July.
