Malaysia’s leading men’s and women’s doubles pairs underlined their title credentials with commanding victories to book their places in the YONEX-SUNRISE India Open 2026 quarter-finals at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex today.
Women’s doubles world No. 2 Pearly Tan–M. Thinaah were in ruthless form as they swept aside France’s Margot Lambert–Camille Pognante 21-7, 23-21 in just 30 minutes.
After cruising through the opening game, Pearly-Thinaah were briefly tested in the second set but held their nerve to close out the match in straight games.
The win marked their fourth straight victory over the French duo, reaffirming their dominance in the head-to-head.
The Malaysian pair will next face the winners of the encounter between Ukraine’s Polina Buhrova–Yevheniia Kantemyr and Taiwan’s Hsieh Pei Shan–Hung En Tzu as they continue their charge for a deep run in New Delhi.
