PDRM FC, kept the opportunity in the first match after beating Kuching City scoring 3-0 in the MFL Challenge Cup 2023 Final first leg at MBPJ Stadium, Petaling Jaya.
PDRM FC clearly dominated most of the game in the first half by creating many opportunities to score goals.
However, both teams were tied scoreless until the end of the first half.
Continuing the second half, PDRM redoubled their attack. As a result, they were in front after Marcus Papee Macauley made a cross into the Kuching City penalty area which was then completed by Mohamad Nabil Ahmad Latpi’s header in the 53rd minute.
15 minutes later, Uche Agba put PDRM in a comfortable position after a solid shot in the penalty box was deflected by the left hand of the opposing goalkeeper, Wan Muhammad Azraie Wan Teh, before hitting the Kuching City goal.
Amir Saiful, ensured a comfortable supply for PDRM, with the third goal in the last minute of the game after he took advantage of the confusion that occurred in front of the visiting team’s goal.
The second match, Kuching City will back to play as home team on 3 December at Stadium Negeri, Kuching.
