True Bangkok United clinched its first title of this season after winning against DP Kanchanaburi FC, a club in Thai League 2, scoring 4-1 in the penalties shoot-out after tied in 120 minutes 1-1 in the Chang FA Cup 2023/24 final at Dragon Solar Park Stadium, Ratchaburi.
This is the first time in the history of the Thai FA Cup that a team from the second-tier league is in the final round.

But in the 74th minute, following the attack of DP Kanchanaburi and Ricardo Pires header into the goal, DP Kanchanaburi led 1-0.
But after a not long time, in the 77th minute, Bangkok awarded a penalty following a foul of Jirasak Gumthaisong. The referee checked with VAR before confirming the penalty and a red card to Jirasak Gumthaisong for sending off, and Vander Luis converted to the goal; Bangkok equalized 1-1.
The remaining time had no additional score and ended the first half; both teams tied 1-1. And play extra time for 30 minutes.
In the extra time, both sides had more opportunities to make a chance at the goal, but no additional score, and by the end of the extra time, both teams were tied 1-1, and penalties were shot out for the decided winner.
In the penalties shoot-out, the side of Bangkok is more accurate and wins, scoring 4-1, clinching the title of Chang FA Cup 2023/24
