Asian Football Confederation(AFC) has punished Ms.Karuna Chidchob, vice president of Buriram United, banning 1 match and fining 5,000 US$(RM23,611.97) from the match faced by Zhejiang FC in the AFC Champions League 2023/24 Group Stage, Group H on 29 November 2023.
AFC has received a report from the match commissioner about Mr.Karuna “The Defendant showed an abusive and/or offensive gesture (i.e., raising the middle finger) towards the spectators and/or the members of the Team Official Delegation of the opponent team which brought the game into disrepute.”
And in the AFC Disciplinary and Ethics Committee Meeting on 3 May 2024, AFC has issue the punishment 4 article such as:
- Ms. Karuna Chidchob is banned from entering the stadium for one (1) match and is ordered to pay a fine of USD5,000/- for violating Article 50.1 of the AFC Disciplinary and Ethics Code.
- The one (1) match stadium ban shall be served in the next official match of Buriram United (THA) (home or away) in an AFC Club Competition.
- The fine referred to in Paragraph 1 above shall be settled within 30 days from the date that this Decision is communicated in accordance with Article 11.3 of the AFC Disciplinary and Ethics Code.
- Ms. Karuna Chidchob is informed that a repeat violation of this provision may be met with more severe punishment.
