Thailand’s national team ended the route in the round of 16 after losing to the Uzbekistan national team, scoring 1-2 in the AFC Asian Cup 2023 Round of 16 at Al Janoub Stadium.
At the beginning of the game, Uzbekistan was open to attacking Thailand and got the opportunity to reach the goal.
In the 37th minute, following a fast break of Uzbekistan and Diyor Holmatov’s long passes to Azizbek Turg’unboyev’s shot to the first post, Uzbekistan led 1-0.
In the remaining time of the first half, there was no additional score, ending the first half with Uzbekistan leading 1-0.
In the second half, in the 58th minute, following a fast-break Thailand and Supachai Chaided’s crossing to Supachok Sarachat’s shot from outside the box to the goal, Thailand equalised 1-1.
But not long time, In the 65th minute, following an attack of Uzbekistan and Jaloliddin Masharipov passing to Abbosbek Fayzullayev’s shot from outside the box to the first post, Uzbekistan led again 2-1.
In the remaining time, Thailandalmost got an equalizer goal but did not score, ending Uzbekistan winning 2-1 and advancing to the Quarter-Final.
In the Quarter-Final, Uzbekistan will face Qatar.
