Japan national team keep first 3 points after beating the Vietnam national team scoring 4-2 in the AFC Asian Cup 2023 Group Stage, Group D at Al Thumama Stadium.
In the beginning game. In the 11th minute, following a corner kick of Japan and Yukinari Sugawara shot in the first attempt to Filip Nguyen’s save, but Takumi Minamino rebounded and shot into the second post, Japan led 1-0.
But not long after, in the 16th minute, following a corner kick of Vietnam, Do Hung Dung opened to Nguyen Dinh Bac’s header reversed back, and the ball fell to the second post. Vietnam equalized 1-1.

In the late game, in the 85th minute, Japan got the opportunity to attack, and Takefusa Kubo passed to Ayase Uefa, who shot into the goal; Japan led 4-2.
