Selangor FC still secure 2nd rank after beat Perak FC scoring 4-0 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2023 at MBPJ Stadium, Petaling Jaya.
In the action, only three minutes were needed to shock the home fans when Yohandry Orozco’s corner kick was finished by Sharul Nazeem for the opening goal of Selangor FC.
Selangor FC had a golden opportunity to widen the gap in the 14th minute when they launched a quick counter-attack. Still, Alex Agyarkwa’s attempt in a one-on-one situation failed to beat T Shaheeswaran.
Perak FC slowly found a moment to threaten Selangor fortress in search of an equaliser, and a chance through Luciano Guaycochea’s free kick in the 22nd minute forced Sam Sommerville to save his goal.
After being frustrated several times by Shaheeswaran, the Perak FC goalkeeper finally ‘leaked’ for the second time through Mukhairi Ajmal Mahadi’s finisher in the 34th minute.
Continuing the second half, Selangor FC who were lively to get the third goal had to wait until the 72nd minute to beat Shaheeswaran as a result of Orozco’s fast shot in the 72nd minute.
Ayron del Valle who missed several chances to score, finally got the coveted goal in the 80th minute to give Selangor FC a stylish 4-0 win.
