Perak FC has a official statement for condemns the behavior of fans after brawl between fans of Perak FC and Selangor FC in the Liga Super Malaysia 2023 match in last saturday.
From this situation, four local men were arrested by Police following an incident of commotion among supporters.
“Perak FC condemns the behavior of those fans out to cause trouble. The process of rebuilding is a tough one. We as private owners, have taken the responsibility to run the club firstly as a commercial venture and secondly as football fans.”
“From the start, we have chosen to focus on local talent and giving youth players an opportunity to achieve a dual purpose of economic sustainability AND lifting the level of football amongst Malaysian players.”
“To balance the philosophy, to remain competitive, to expect fans to support while the team underperforms…is a very hard task, one which we are committed to see through.”
“Then there is the sight of young fans clamoring for the signatures of our players at the end, despite losing heavily. Their smiles and hopeful looks make all this worthwhile.”

“To our loyal fans. Yesterday was the first time in 4 attempts, Selangor FC has come to Ipoh and won, having lost the previous three. With any rivalry, a superiority must end. The truth of the matter is Perak FC’s superiority over Selangor ended when the club got relegated in 2021.”
“We are disappointed with yesterday’s results especially as we were playing competitively for the first 30 minutes. We were well beaten by a very organized team, with a clinical approach in their game and who punished us for our own mistakes. Rest assured we will work hard and do our best to reestablish our superiority once more. Yesterday’s performance was marred by unsightly scenes of casuals from both sides causing trouble.”
“Perak FC intends to make its games at home a place that is safe for families. We will have an internal discussion on how to identify the culprits and prohibit their influence and attendance.”
