Johor Darul Ta’Zim, still strenght after beating Shah Alam City, scoring 4-1 in the Malaysia Premier Futsal League Division 1 2024 at KSN Stadium Panasonic, Shah Alam.
Despite being labelled as the chosen team, JDT refused to look down on the hosts. This is because Shah Alam City coached by Muizzudin Mohd Haris previously managed to tie Pahang Rangers 6-6.
For that reason, Harimau Selatan came out fiercely to hunt for an early goal. JDT took the lead as early as the first minute through Brazilian import Caio Cesar Garcia Rego.
Shah Alam City’s goal controlled by captain Syahman Idris leaked again when Abu Haniffa Hasan blocked the second goal through a strong shot in the seventh minute.
A minute later, it was Mahadir Harahap Khairuddin’s turn to make his name as a scorer with the third goal for the visitors. The score remained 3-0 until the break.
Continuing in the second half, JDT led by Juan Antonio Miguel Garcia continued to put pressure on the hosts.
Unfortunately, Shah Alam City’s players managed to absorb the pressure imposed by the visitors. In fact, they also almost penetrated the JDT goal if not for the efficiency of the goalkeeper, Aiman Fikry Ramli.
Shah Alam City’s power play strategy to get a goal backfired when Caio Cesar scored the visitors’ fourth goal in the 27th minute.
Isaias Figueirido ensured Shah Alam City won a consolation goal in the 40th minute. The result remained 4-1 until the end of the match.
