Laos Announce Squad for ACQ 2027 Against Malaysia

Laos national football team, under the guidance of South Korean head coach Ha Hyeok-jun, has officially announced a 23-player squad for their upcoming AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers 3rd Round Group F matches against Malaysia.

Head Coach Ha Hyeokjun, who has been working to strengthen Laos’ tactical and physical approach, selected a balanced mix of domestic and international-based players — including several from Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam leagues — to compete for crucial points in their qualification campaign.

Laos are expected to rely on the leadership of seasoned players such as Bounphachan Bounkong and Phouthavong Sangvilay, alongside young talents looking to make their mark on the continental stage.

The first fixture will take place on October 9, 2025, at 8.00 pm (Malaysian Time) at the Lao National Stadium KM16, Vientiane, before Laos travel to face Malaysia at Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur on October 14, 2025, at 9.00 pm.
