Kim Pan-Gon, head coach of the Malaysia national team, said about new pitch of Bukit Jalil National Stadium, Kuala Lumpur is the best pitch in the Southeast Asia region, but needs time to solve this problem.
In the semi-final match of Pestabola Merdeka 2023 last night between Malaysia and India, the new pitch of the stadium had a problem during play due to the new pitch just being installed.
“For me, what we saw last night is typical for a new field. It really takes time and we have expected this kind of situation.” Pan-Gon said via FAM.
“I believe, all parties involved are working hard from time to time. I think we need some more time to solve this problem.”
“Anyway, this Zeon Zoysia grass is better than the cow grass we used before. Indeed, it is not completely ready, but we have the 2023 Merdeka Festival.”
“With the continuous process after this, one day, we want to see this field will be one of the best fields in the Southeast Asia region.”
“Once again, I would like to use this opportunity to thank the Tunku Mahkota Johor (TMJ), Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, for his support in realizing this beautiful field and also the Malaysian Stadium Corporation (PSM), who took responsibility for supporting this effort.”
“The important thing is that we can also perform well and beat India 4-2, and then qualify for the 2023 Merdeka Pestabola Final against Tajikistan this Tuesday.”
