Fresh from making Malaysian motorsport history at the Czech Republic Grand Prix, Hakim Danish Ramli has already turned his attention to the next challenge as he prepares for the Dutch Grand Prix at TT Circuit Assen, scheduled from 26–28 June 2026.
The AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSi rider arrives in Assen brimming with confidence after claiming his maiden Moto3 World Championship victory at Brno last weekend. The landmark triumph not only earned him the maximum 25 championship points but also propelled the Terengganu-born youngster to seventh place in the overall standings with 73 points after nine rounds.
While Brno marked a career-defining moment, Hakim Danish is determined to keep his feet firmly on the ground as he targets another strong weekend at one of motorcycle racing’s most iconic venues.
The Malaysian teenager emphasized that his breakthrough win is now behind him, with all attention focused on maintaining momentum at Assen.
“I’m happy with the result in Brno, but that victory is already in the past. I need to press the reset button and fully prepare for Assen,” said Hakim Danish.
“My focus is now completely on this weekend’s race. I need to stay concentrated and make sure I’m ready in every aspect.”
The young rider believes that securing competitive pace from the opening practice session will be crucial to another successful outing.
“At Assen, I need to do the same thing I did in Brno — find my rhythm from FP1. I need to build speed early and quickly understand the characteristics of both the circuit and the bike.”
Unlike many rookies entering the Dutch Grand Prix weekend, Hakim Danish already possesses valuable experience at Assen through his participation in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup.
That prior knowledge could prove vital at a circuit renowned for its flowing high-speed corners, rapid direction changes, and technical demands that reward precision and consistency.
Often referred to as the “Cathedral of Speed,” Assen requires riders to maintain corner speed throughout the lap while carefully managing tyre wear and race positioning.
The Malaysian believes that previous experience at the venue will help accelerate his adaptation process during practice and qualifying.
“Assen is a challenging circuit because it has many fast corners and a very technical layout. But I’ll try to make the most of every session and give 100 percent throughout the weekend.”
Hakim Danish’s victory at Brno has strengthened his position as one of Moto3’s rising stars and further highlighted Malaysia’s growing presence on the world championship stage.
With confidence soaring and valuable experience already in hand, the 18-year-old hopes to convert his recent momentum into another strong points finish as the Moto3 season enters a crucial phase.
He also took the opportunity to thank those who have supported his journey to the world stage.
“I would like to thank my team, sponsors, especially AEON Credit Service Malaysia, for the trust they have placed in me, and all the supporters who continue to back me every step of the way.”
As the Moto3 paddock heads to Assen, all eyes from Malaysia will be on Hakim Danish to see whether the rider who made history in Brno can continue his remarkable rise at one of the championship’s most demanding circuits.
