Malaysia’s top mixed doubles pair Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei showed grit and resilience as they stormed into the BWF World Championships 2025 quarter-finals after overcoming Indonesia’s Jafar Hidayatullah-Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu in Paris today.
The world No. 4 duo had to rally from a shaky start, clawing their way back in a grueling 66-minute contest before sealing a hard-fought 14-21, 21-19, 21-17 victory at the Adidas Arena.
It was Tang Jie-Ee Wei’s third consecutive triumph over the Indonesian pair, once again proving their ability to dig deep under pressure on the sport’s biggest stage.
Their victory sets up a highly anticipated clash against India’s Dhruv Kapila-Tanisha Cristo, who also mounted a comeback of their own by defeating Hong Kong’s Tang Chun Man-Tse Ying Suet 19-21, 21-12, 21-15.
For Tang Jie and Ee Wei, this quarter-final berth not only strengthens their credentials as one of the tournament’s leading contenders but also fuels Malaysia’s hopes of a podium finish in Paris.
