Benjamin Mora, head coach of Johor Darul Ta’Zim believes the conditions tomorrow will suit both sides. But more importantly, the showdown will provide the opportunity for his charges to showcase their pedigree to compete with Asia’s finest.
“Ulsan are the great Korean team who we all know are strong, compact and powerful,”
“Tomorrow’s match will be easier for them since they will be playing on a better surface, and they won’t face issues with the heat because it is the later kick-off, so I believe that we will see the Ulsan that we all know so well.” Mora said.
“But we are excited by the challenge, this is the pinnacle stage of Asian football, and these are the types of matches in which we need to be competing.”
“We are aware of their strengths, but we compensate with our skill and fitness. From the data and analytics, it is clear that our players run the most, so we are as ready as we can be.
“We must remember our record at home, we beat Kashima here, we have defeated Samsung Suwon Bluewings here.”
“But at the same time, we are not concerned by the past. We are not the same team as 2020 or 2021. We are not even the same team as compared to this preseason; we are better!”
