Jordan national team almost surprised after tying the Korea Republic national team, scoring 2-2 in the AFC Asian Cup 2023 Group Stage, Group E at Al Thumama Stadium.
In this match, not long after, in the 9th minute, Korea Republic awarded a penalty following Ehsan Haddad’s conceded foul to Son Heung-Min. The referee decided to use a penalty, Son Heung-Min converted to the goal, and Korea Republic led 1-0.
But in the 37th minute, following a corner-kick from Jordan, Park Yong-Woo blocked the ball missed way and into their own goal, Jordan equalizer 1-1.
In the injury time, in the 45+6th minute, following Jordan’s attack and Ali Olwan passing to Mousa Tamari’s shot in the first attempt to block, but Yazan Al Naimat could rebound shot to the goal, Jordan led 2-1
In the remaining time of the first half, there was no additional score, ending the first half with Jordan leading 2-1.
In the second half, the Korean Republic attacked Jordan’s side and got more opportunities but couldn’t convert to a goal.
But in the injury time, in the 90+1 minute, Yazan Al Arab, the defender of Jordan, blocked the ball and missed way into their own goal, and Korea Republic got back to equalizer 2-2.
The remaining time of the second half had no additional score, ending both tied 2-2.
