Malaysian rider Hafizh Syahrin of JDT Racing Team delivered a powerful statement at the Asia Road Racing Championship 2025 Round 4, finishing second fastest in the practice sessions at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Lombok.
The experienced rider clocked his best lap time at 1:35.618 minutes, missing out on top spot by a mere 0.026 seconds to Thailand’s Apiwath Wongthananon of A1 ENERGY BMW Racing Team, who secured P1.
Across the three practice runs, Hafizh showcased consistency and speed, underlining his determination to be a frontrunner in the ASB1000 class this season. His sharp performance has now set the stage for a thrilling weekend as riders gear up for Saturday’s qualifying and the all-important Race 1.
With Hafizh currently seen as one of Malaysia’s brightest hopes in international motorcycle racing, the focus now turns to whether he can translate his strong practice form into a podium finish – or even a victory – in Mandalika.
A win here would not only strengthen his bid for the 2025 ASB1000 crown, but also mark another milestone in his career resurgence under the JDT Racing Team banner.
