Al Hilal took the first trophy of this season after beating Al Ittihad, scoring 4-1 in the Saudi Super Cup 2024 Final at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
Al-Hilal took the lead as early as five minutes into the game through Brazilian sensational striker Malcom Felipe Silva after playing a one-two with his partner, Saleh Al-Shehri.
Al-Ittihad striker Abderrazak Hamdallah equalized when he scored from a rebound after his penalty was saved by Morocco’s experienced goalkeeper Yassine Bounou.
Al-Hilal did not wait long to get back in front when Salem Al-Dawsari managed to score a beautiful goal, followed by Malcom, who once again made his mark as a goalscorer to strengthen the position 3-1.
Substitute Nasser Al-Dawsari, brought in by Al-Hilal coach Jorge Jesus, gave the team a stylish victory after scoring the last goal in the last minute of the game.
Al-Hilal are also on track to win three more trophies this season. More impressively, the team, who are in the semi-finals of the Asian Champions League and the Saudi King’s Cup, have extended their winning streak to 34 consecutive games in all competitions.
