CHEN Tang Jie-TOH Ee Wei played the Quarter-Final today and faced Robin Tabeling-Selena Piek, a Dutch duo and No.9 of the world, and won in straight sets, 21-12, 25-23, in 40 minutes.
Tang Jie-Ee Wei, however, is expected to face fierce opposition in the mission to advance to the final if he is scheduled to face the rising pair from Japan, Hiroki Midorikawa-Natsu Saito in the semi-finals, in the last match of court 1 tomorrow.
Midorikawa-Saito advanced to the best of four after beating the host’s representatives, Ruttanapak Outhong-Jhenicha Sudjaiprapat 2-0(21-16, 21-16).
