Aliff Sor. Dechapan, a Malaysian-Thai boxing, lost to Ellis Barboza, a English boxing, by spilt decision in the Catchweight Muay Thai(125.75 Lbs) of ONE Fight Night 23 at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, Bangkok Thailand.
The match started with both fighters displaying their agility and skill. Aliff came out strong, showcasing his speed and powerful strikes, while Barboza relied on his defense and counter-attacks.
Despite Aliff’s aggressive approach, Barboza managed to hold his ground, landing a few significant counter-punches that kept the Thai-Malaysian fighter at bay.
As the second round commenced, Barboza began to find his rhythm, delivering a series of well-timed kicks and punches that started to wear down Aliff.
Aliff attempted to regain control with his signature Muay Thai techniques, including flying knees and back elbows, but Barboza’s defense remained solid.
The final round saw Barboza taking advantage of Aliff’s fatigue. He increased his offensive pressure, landing several clean hits that visibly affected Aliff.
Aliff fought valiantly, but Barboza’s strategic attacks and stamina proved to be the deciding factors in the bout.
Ellis Barboza won the match by split decision, marking a significant victory in his comeback after a six-month suspension.
