Bergson, who took the penalty kick, fired a powerful ball into the right corner that beat Shafiq Afifi for the 21st goal for the prolific Southern Tigers striker when he needed two more goals to match del Valle.

JDT only needed two minutes when the action of the second half continued to add to the score when a one-two pass involving Arif and Bergson allowed the most valuable player (MVP) for two consecutive seasons to score his second personal goal after cleverly deflecting the ball right into the right corner of the goal beating Shafiq Afifi.
Arif scored a hat-trick in the match after a swipe shot by Heberty in the 50th minute was deflected by Aikmal’s leg and saw Shafiq Afifi fail to avoid the ball hitting the net to ensure JDT a comfortable 7-0 lead.
JDT completed their 100th goal in the league scene after Arif easily completed the penalty kick to complete the team’s glorious night beating Penang FC 8-0.
