Independent body, First Instance Body (FIB) today confirmed that the Kedah Darul Aman club has successfully settled the payment of player and official salary arrears for the year 2023 before the deadline set on 20 April 2024 at 5.00 pm.
Based on the letter dated 18 April 2024 as well as the payment document submitted to the MFL which was later reviewed by the FIB, KDA FC has successfully paid off all salary arrears of Super League players and officials, the under 23, under 20 and under 18 teams.
However, there are two players who have not yet received payment due to the case still being heard by the International Football Federation (FIFA) and the National Resolution Resolution Council (NDRC), namely Lee Andrew Tuck and Jonathan Boareto dos Reis.
However, all outstanding payments as directed by the FIB have been successfully completed by KDA FC to enable KDA FC to continue to obtain a National License to play in the Super League for the 2024-2025 season.
The FIB, however, maintained the three-point penalty for the 2024-2025 Super League competition and a fine of RM 50,000 for failing to make full payment of salary arrears for the year 2023 by the deadline of March 30, 2024 before the FIB extended the time until April 20, 2024.
