Thailand national football team continued their November FIFA Day schedule with an exciting 3–2 victory over Singapore at Thammasat Stadium, Pathum Thani.
Ranked 96th in the world, Thailand faced Singapore, ranked 155th, in a match full of attacking flair, early drama, and late tension.
Head coach Anthony Hudson fielded a strong lineup with Teerathon Bunmathan, Sarach Yooyen, and captain Chanathip Songkrasin orchestrating the midfield.
The front three featured Benjamin Davis, Supachok Sarachat, and striker Supachai Chaided, forming an aggressive attacking unit.
Thailand nearly struck early in the 3rd minute, when Supachok’s right-footed shot inside the box was denied by Singapore’s goalkeeper.
Thailand were forced into an early change in the 13th minute as Teerasak Poeiphimai replaced an injured Supachai Chaided.
Just two minutes later, Thailand opened the scoring. Kevin Deeromram sent in a dangerous cross that was partially cleared, falling perfectly for Sarach Yooyen, who controlled with his chest before smashing a right-footed shot under the bar to make it 1–0.
Singapore, however, responded quickly. In the 17th minute, Ryhan Stewart slipped a pass to Glenn Kweh, who finished from close range to level the match at 1–1.
Thailand had several chances to regain the lead. In the 35th minute, Thirasak broke free through the middle but saw his shot denied, while in the 44th minute Benjamin Davis sent a left-footed effort just over the crossbar.
Hudson made two halftime substitutions, bringing on Suphanan Bureerat and Seksan Ratree to inject fresh energy.
In the 47th minute, a short corner routine saw Chanathip find Teerathon outside the box, and the veteran full-back curled a stunning left-footed shot into the far corner to put Thailand ahead 2–1.
Thailand extended their lead in the 53rd minute when Sarach fed substitute Seksan Ratree, who unleashed a powerful strike from outside the area to make it 3–1.
Singapore pulled one back in the 62nd minute. Ikhsan Fandi’s back-heel forced a save from goalkeeper Patiwat Khammai, but the rebound fell to Glenn Kweh, who calmly scored his second of the night, tightening the match to 3–2.
Thailand then introduced Thanawat Suengchitthawon and Jude Soonsup-Bell in the 64th minute, followed by Peeradon Chamratsamee replacing Sarach in the 75th.
Thailand nearly added a fourth in the 86th minute when Jude Soonsup-Bell’s header narrowly missed the target.
Deep into stoppage time, Jude was fouled inside the box, earning Thailand a penalty. Jude Soonsup-Bell’s stepped up to take it himself, but the Singapore goalkeeper , Izwan Mahbud produced another strong save to keep the score at 3–2.
The 3–2 result gives Thailand momentum as they continue preparations for upcoming competitive fixtures.
