ONE Championship has locked in a guaranteed show-stealer as Johan “Jojo” Ghazali prepares to clash with Sean “The One” Climaco in a flyweight Muay Thai bout at ONE Fight Night 39 on Prime Video.
The three-round encounter will headline the organization’s first American primetime event of 2026, taking place at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok on January 23 — a fitting stage for two strikers built for violence.
Still just 19 years old, Malaysian-American sensation Ghazali enters 2026 with renewed momentum after using a turbulent 2025 campaign as fuel for growth.
Once riding high with six wins from seven fights — including back-to-back sub-minute knockouts — “Jojo” hit adversity with narrow defeats to Johan Estupinan and Diego Paez.
But the Sarawak-born knockout artist roared back in September at ONE Fight Night 35, demolishing Zakaria El Jamari in just 2:10 of the opening round.
More importantly, Ghazali showed evolution. Training alongside Superbon, he blended patience, timing, and variety with his trademark power — a warning sign for the flyweight division.
Standing across from him will be Sean Climaco, a Filipino-American veteran known for his composed aggression and dangerous counter-striking.
After announcing himself with a devastating body-shot KO at ONE Fight Night 22, Climaco endured tough losses but proved his quality — even flooring Estupinan before losing in dramatic fashion.
Now, with his back against the wall, Climaco enters Bangkok hungry to derail one of ONE’s fastest-rising stars
Ghazali’s destructive instincts and technical refinement collide with Climaco’s calculated pressure and durability — a recipe for chaos under Muay Thai rules.
When the bell rings in January, expect speed, violence, and momentum-shifting moments as two flyweight warriors chase redemption and relevance on ONE’s global stage.
