Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has clarified that there are currently no new developments regarding the suspension imposed by FIFA on the national body and seven players.
In an official statement, FAM confirmed that the association is still awaiting the full written judgment from FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee. Only after receiving the complete documentation will FAM initiate the formal appeal process.
“At this moment, FAM has yet to receive the full judgment from FIFA. The appeal process will only begin once we have the complete written decision in hand,” said FAM General Secretary Datuk Noor Azman Hj Rahman.
The governing body also stressed that no further comments or updates will be issued until the appeal process is fully concluded.
The decision, announced by FIFA last week, included fines and 12-month suspensions for seven heritage players over alleged breaches of the FIFA Disciplinary Code. The case has since drawn widespread attention both domestically and across the region, with FAM preparing to contest the ruling through the proper legal channels.
