Melaka United, make a surprise back to take 3 points after invades win Kedah Darul Aman, with a score of 3-2 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2022 at Darul Aman Stadium, Alor Setar.
Kedah started the right step with the opening goal in the 20th minute through a strong shot by the main striker Ronald Ngah who got a pass from Syafiq Ahmad and beat the visitors’ goalkeeper, Bryan See.
Kedah’s comfort lead with one goal, however, did not last long when Melaka surprised the hosts three minutes later with an equalizer by Ifedayo Olusegun who beat Ifwat Akmal through a left-footed touch.
Kedah, who were under pressure, continued to hunt for goals and finally Melaka’s goal gate was leaked for the second time in the 36th minute through Syafiq Ahmad’s goal who shot hard from outside the penalty box with the position remaining until halfway through the game.
Starting the second half, Kedah increased the attack with a header attempt in front of the goal by Ronald Ngah in the 54th minute which welcomed the ball to the Melaka goalkeeper, but the ball was successfully removed by the opposing defender.
While Kedah was looking for an additional goal, Melaka once again equalized through Emanuel Oti who shot right towards the goal in the 78th minute beating Ifwat Akmal.
Kedah had the best chance to add a goal in the 87th minute when they got a free kick but Syafiq’s attempt was slightly off target while Melaka’s attempt by Ifedayo two minutes later also failed to bear fruit when his attempt hit the crossbar.
At the end of the match, Kedah had to bite their fingers when Melaka came up with the winning goal through Ifedayo’s header.
